Just a Chip Off the Old Block...
In 1946 Joyce decided she wanted a pair of skis for her 14th birthday. Her dad told her she could wait until she was fifteen to break her neck so he got her a .22 Savage long rifle instead. They were just organizing a local “Learn to Shoot” program and Albert’s friend, Helm Hussner, was heading it up. When she found out about that, it sounded pretty good to her. The picture is of Albert Glassnap some years earlier at a meet. The clippings and certificates are self-explanatory.
