Mary De Keyser Marries Joseph Sprintles
Mary Therese De Keyser married Joseph Sprintles (an immigrant from Bosne Gochen, Belgium) on August 9th, 1892 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. At least two of their children were born in Green Bay before they moved to Seattle, Washington. Mary made several trips back to Wisconsin to visit her sisters through the years. She also sent a box of Rose’s outgrown clothes back to her sister, Emma, when she was a widow struggling to support her children on her own. Rose was Mary’s youngest child, probably about the same age as Emma’s girl, Estella, and older than her daughter, Cecil. Above, is a picture of Mary with Rose. Below, is a photo of Mary’s family in front of their large house in Seattle, dated November 9, 1913. The man on the left is a roomer. Then the Sprintles family, (left to right) are Arthur, Henry, Rose, Joseph (Mary’s husband), and Mary.
